Circle District Educational Foundation

Circle District Educational Foundation is a non-profit 501©3 tax-exempt corporation. All donations to the foundation are tax deductible.

The Foundation was created in 1999 for the purpose of providing private funding for the Circle School District. Donations to the Circle District Educational Foundation are invested in the foundation’s General Endowment Fund which will provide continuous income for academic excellence in the future. Some of these dollars are used to fund the Foundation’s Teacher Grant Program.

General Endowment Fund

The Circle District Foundation encourages patrons and friends of USD 375 to make tax-deductible contributions to the Foundation’s General Endowment Fund. Individuals or group contributions of $2,000 or more in a three year period qualify for naming and specifying a new “special” endowment fund.

By making a gift to an established fund, or by creating a new one, you can:

  • Enrich a specific area of curriculum
  • Encourage creative efforts
  • Enhance classroom projects
  • Provide library resources
  • Support faculty development
  • Purchase equipment
  • Recognize student achievements

Person interested in planned giving should consider memorial gifts, tributes, trusts, or making provisions in their wills. Gifts of stocks, bonds, real estate, and other appreciated assets are also accepted by the Foundation.

Teacher Grant Program

Circle District Educational Foundation’s Board of Directors has established a Teacher Grant Program to enhance the instruction and learning for the children in USD 375. Grants are awarded annually for projects which emphasize new approaches to teaching and for innovative programs which stimulate thought and expand existing curriculum. Examples of grant applications which have received funding include:

  • Parent reading Nights
  • Math Manipulatives
  • Science Equipment
  • Anti-Bully Program
  • Environmental Activities

Teachers may write grants for a wide range of options including, but not limited to, materials for a unit, stipends for visiting instructors, field trips, equipment, academic fairs, and supplemental instruction supplies. All grants are anonymously screened by the Foundation’s Board.

The Circle District Educational Foundation supports the mission of the Circle Public School – The Mission of Circle USD 375, in partnership with our communities, is to educate all students to be responsible, productive citizens in a changing world.

All patrons and friends of USD 375 are encouraged to make tax-deductible donations to the Foundation’s Teacher Grant Program and/or General Endowment Fund.
